Sunday Up Market #8: Birthday Shopping, October 24-25, ARMA17

The 8-th Sunday up market which is devoted to the project’s first anniversary sums up results of the first year. More than 300 artists took part in the project during this year. Amongst them you could see well-known showrooms and just graduated from textile colleges designers at the same time, who presented their products for the first time on Sunday up market.
Sunday up market is not only a start-platform for gifted people and place where young brands can meet real customers, it’s space for communication, brand new trend for the young people, it’s a way of thinking and habitat for cosmopolitans. This project unites not only people, it unites places, distribution networks, art-projects ,regions, and globally – innovations.

Growth and development of SUM participants is one of the most noticeable result of the project. Sunday up market – it’s the first step before entering the market. Besides the opportunity of making themselves known, SUM encourages it’s participants to self-education, professional improvement and practicing new skills and knowledge. Lectures and discussions on fashion industry matters became integral part of market’s program beginning from May 2009. Since September 2009 under assistance of professional photographers, stylists and makeup artists all the participants have an opportunity of making a professional look book of their collection. Now our designers have high-quality material for promotion and communication with buyers.

In October 2009 SUM celebrates it’s first birthday! That’s why there are many pleasant surprises prepared for our guests at Arma 17 on 24-25-th of October: Champagne, 20-killos birthday cake presented by our partners Shokoroom, retrospective show of photo and video materials of previous markets, lectures, movies, discussion with the team, that organizes the event. You can also check out results of collaboration of photographer Alina Nikitina, stylist Nikolay Saprykin, M.A.C. makeup artists and Sunday up market producers. SUM team perfomed like models an demonstrated how clothes and accessories of our participants can be combined.
