Never before had it been so easy to get to the May Sunday Up Market! No surprise that more than 4000 visitors attended the event daily.
“We did not make a random choice when selected the museum space. We hold up the tradition of opening a thematic monthly SUM. In May, it was a major cultural city event which gave name to the SUM – MUSEUM NIGHT SHOPPING. For the first time in its history the market was open at night (May 16-17). Surprisingly, the prices were lower than usual with a 10 % discount on all goods offered”. – says Mariya Bergelson, the author of the project.
SUNDAY UP MARKET is a platform to promote fledging designers and unrecognized brands, and a one-of-a-kind urban event.
At the summer SUM the cultural program was an event on its own. Yulia Vydolob lectured on vintage clothing while Vasily Esmanov, a lookatme creator, and designer Maxim Tchernitsov shared views on fashion and the Internet technologies with the full-house audience. Cinema lovers enjoyed watching “Peggy Sue got married”, a gorgeous 1950s-styled comedy.
Moreover, the visitors enjoyed the “Backstage Fashion” presented by Gerard Ufere’s “L’oeil” gallery and artworks by graphic designers and illustrators from Husky Gallery.
Understanding the necessity for any help to children, SUNDAY UP MARKET placed the stand of the Center of Medical Pedagogics with handcrafts created by disabled children on a charitable basis. All proceeds from sale of these works and private donations will be remitted to the Center.
SUNDAY UP MARKET is a win-prize for seeker of most elaborate and unique designs and one-of-a-kind wears.
The life energy provided by Prana, an oxygen bar, and creative video art helped to support a non-stop good mood of May SUM with its rummaging in clothing delivered from the future or the remote past, listening to stories of exclusive makes, communicating with friends, participants, photographers, and watching movies.
Besides charming wears, the Museum Market offered the world of surprise, flowers and gifts from ELLE.RU to beauty loving ladies, while lovely live music of DJ-sets by a young “be yourself” label was tuning the thrilling shopping.
