It is a designer market, a sofisticated experience of a fashion weekend, that brings together unique hand made goods and collections by fledging designers. It is a one-of-a-kind urban event for the young and savvy, a start-up ground for talanted people. It is unique goods at unique prices. It is a team of soulmates.

On the Christmas Eve, the third Sunday Up Market was selling goods of some 30 showrooms and stores. Following the advance in hand-made culture, Moscow had got enough designers and showrooms to bring them together in one home-like place lit up with Christmas candles.
Again, some exclusive or even one-of-a-kind wears were presented by well-known and start-up showrooms, workshops and self-employed designers. Most designs were ladies wears as ladies far exceeded the male audience of the showroom.
The market presented 1920s - 1970s vintage dresses and hats, T-shirts with aggressive or lovely prints, hand-made glasses, big and small bags, jewelleries, plenty of useful stuff and all sorts of pleasures.
A small Christmas oasis in the sea of aggressive metropolitan consumerism has become bigger and more amazing than all previous events. Visitors were coming all day long and it was difficult to sit all in a rather big place. Result? The market lasted for a week instead of two days.
Sunday Up Market has clearly slipped out the doors of a showroom event. Big changes were looming ahead.
